Historic Costumes on Ghost Tours: Cheesy or Awesome? September 25, 2013 When you take a historical or ghostly walking tour, do you want your tour guide to be in costume? Would you be disappointed with a guide who wasn’t in costume? Or would you be embarrassed to be seen with one who was?
Boroughs of the Dead Launch Party September 20, 2013 Celebrate the launch of Boroughs of the Dead: Macabre New York City Walking Tours at Brooklyn Winery with an evening of tales written and inspired by the master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe.
Fear City September 19, 2013 I’m possibly going to hell for this, but I couldn’t help riffing off the vintage Fear City flyer that’s been making the rounds online this week. The Enduring Appeal of the New York City Ghost Tour June 13, 2013 There are many, many guides who will show you the best, brightest, and most beautiful sights the city has to offer, but I prefer the darker side of tourism. I want to know what happened to this city’s poor, to its wretches, to its forgotten. Most of all, I want to know what happened to its ghosts.
